Why this Blog?
As most Michiganders are aware, folks native to the Upper Peninsula (U.P.) are known as Yoopers and those of us unfortunate enough to originate from the Lower Peninsula (below the bridge) are all Trolls. When asked how I could become a real Yooper, one Local's response was, "You have to survive 6 winters and grow a garden successfully up here." I've survived three winters and am still working at the garden part. This blog is a record of my new life in the U.P. Feel free to render advice or laugh, whatever strikes your fancy!
